چکیده
PurposeThe diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine (DTP) and oral polio (OPV) were introduced in children 3 of 5 months age 1981–1983 Bandim, the capital Guinea-Bissau. Because DTP has been linked to deleterious nonspecific effects (NSEs) OPV beneficial NSEs, we followed up this cohort years examined with on all-cause mortality interactions measles (MV).MethodsDTP offered at monthly community weighing sessions. Vaccination groups defined by last received. We compared overall for different Cox proportional hazards regression models, reporting ratios (HRs) 95% CIs.FindingsThe study included 1491 born Bandim from December 1980 1983. From 35 age, censoring MV, vaccinated and/or had higher than both unvaccinated (HR = l.66; CI, 1.03–2.69) OPV-only 2.81; 1.02–7.69); DTP-only 3.38; 1.15-–9.93). In group 3–8 months, before MV is administered, vaccination was associated a 1.59–7.20). Between 9 when given, DTP-vaccinated MV-unvaccinated 2.76; 1.36–5.59) who received after DTP, among or 6.25; 2.55–15.37).ImplicationsBecause 2 vaccines differential healthiest first, selection biases are unlikely explain estimated impact child survival. administration may have reduced negative DTP.

Quadracel: Vaccination Against Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, and Poliomyelitis in Children.
INTRODUCTION Vaccinations in school-aged children are required by state and local law to maintain high vaccination coverage rates, as well as low rates of vaccine-preventable diseases. Diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis are childhood diseases that can be life threatening; poliomyelitis, another childhood disease, can be disabling. In turn, vaccinations were developed to provide protection again...

intervals between affected individuals and apparently healthy subjects. Gollob, et al. [2] proposed a diagnostic criterion for SQTS. SQTS is mostly seen in males and common presentation is aborted SCD (24-32%), arrhythmias and syncope [3]. As the risk of SCD is high in SQTS, ICD placement is strongly recommended for secondary prevention. However, role of ICD in primary prevention is not well de...

The temperatures of 587 children were taken before and after diphtheria/tetanus/pertussis (DTP) or diphtheria/tetanus (DT) vaccine. Only slight temperature increases were found but these were notably more frequent after plain than adsorbed DTP vaccine preparations and the frequency increased with each successive dose.
متن کاملDelay in diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus vaccination is associated with a reduced risk of childhood asthma.
BACKGROUND Early childhood immunizations have been viewed as promoters of asthma development by stimulating a T(H)2-type immune response or decreasing microbial pressure, which shifts the balance between T(H)1 and T(H)2 immunity. OBJECTIVE Differing time schedules for childhood immunizations may explain the discrepant findings of an association with asthma reported in observational studies. T...
متن کاملGuillain-Barré syndrome after combined tetanus-diphtheria toxoid vaccination.
Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), an acute inflammatory polyradiculoneuropathy, is often associated with an antecedent factor, such as an infection, surgery, systemic malignancy, or vaccination. The first case of GBS following a vaccination with combined tetanus-diphtheria toxoid is reported.
